Best Friends has an incredible sanctuary in Utah and they work tirelessly to bring an end to homeless pets.  Best Friends has satellite adoption centers all over the United States.  They are one of my very favorite charities and I love volunteering with Best Friends Los Angeles!

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877. Donations run programs and services including Cruelty Investigations, Disaster Animal Response Team, Violence Prevention Humane Education and a variety of shelter services.  I'm sure there is an SPCA near you, as well!

Their mission is to "conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth."  How incredible is that?
