ABOUT

Hi, I'm Andie.

I'm a school librarian at a Los Angeles middle school and a National Board Certified Teacher of English. I live in a suburb of LA with my boyfriend, my son, and two dogs—Bella and Mim.

I've been studying spirituality for over 40 years—leading group rituals, writing ceremonies, doing the daily inner work that shapes how I move through the world. I practice the art of being present to what matters.

My work history reads like I couldn't sit still: record stores both indie and not, Barnes & Noble, and assistant cruise director on the open sea—I left a windowless classroom for two and a half years of ocean, parties, and ports of call. Turns out endless parties weren't as fulfilling as I'd hoped—I learned that I wanted to make a real difference in the world. So I came back to the states to teach English, graded papers for 7 more years, then merrily went back to graduate school to become a librarian. Now I have the largest classroom in the entire school. Best decision ever.

I'm passionate about animal rescue. I've fostered dogs, run fundraisers for strays found bleeding on freeways, and scrubbed more dog bowls than I care to count. My birdbath is always filled with various snacks for the birds. I keep two bat homes installed, just in case any bats need a place to nap.

I read voraciously—YA, self-help, money books, memoirs, anything that teaches me something new. There's always a podcast, book, or music playing in my car. I like to learn. I like to think. I like to help. I like to take naps. My favorite thing is rain on the roof, dogs on the couch, tea in hand, blanket over all of us.

One of my greatest joys is connecting people with resources that actually work for them. I'm that person who corners colleagues about getting a financial advisor, who sends book recommendations at 2am, who knows exactly which practitioner you need. I share what works—the books I've wrestled with, the people I trust, the tools that have genuinely helped. If it's on this site, I've used it, tested it, or believe in it enough to put my name on it.

I’m glad you’re here!
